Our hand-crafted Western Red Cedar doors & back gable windows are manufactured at our plant. They are composed of the same Select cedar that we choose for our greenhouses. Our door & window design incorporates cedar framing with tongue & groove cedar siding (door). Our large Dutch windows are designed identical to the window of the Dutch Door and assist in creating good cross ventilation.
(Many of our competitors buy lumber yard "pre made" Fir or metal doors. Unlike Fir, Cedar does not decay or warp in the humid environment of greenhouses.)
Our doors are a perfect match to our greenhouse designs.
Be aware that *sliding doors* in greenhouses can tend to be non-functional. Dirt, plant debris etc can cause these styles of doors to bind. We do not use this design in our kits.
Dutch Doors are doors which are split, allowing you to leave the top window open & the bottom closed. This keeps unwanted guests out of your greenhouse while allowing for optimum ventilation. Ventilation is a very important factor in your greenhouse for healthy plant growth.
